What will I have to do?

I help my papaw work on his farm. From simple things like mowing the yards to building sheds and stuff. He just has a small farm but when I get older I want a huge ranch with a huge house, hundreds of cows. and horses. But what will I have to do to afford all of this? I want a ranch close to the beach because I plan on being a marine biologist too. Where can I get a ranch near the beach? How many acres are most ranches?
