Fly spray and hoof oil or polish, buy or home make?

I use cod liver oil on my horse's hooves everyday and it keeps them very moist and healthy. It's also very cheap, just go to CVS or Walgreens and get a bottle of it. Then get an empty hoofoil bottle. Trust me, it works great!
